Oh what at weekend - after having concerts on Thursday and Friday nights in Latvia, I and our delegation took off to Amsterdam.
It was a great opportunity to experience the spirit of the Eurovision in a miniature and without the tension of the competition. Media attention, posing for photos, rehearsals - it is all to be going on in less that three weeks but this time in a much bigger scale.
Every Eurovision artist taking part in the concert was expected to sing the song which is to represent the particular country in the competition in Oslo as well a song of their choice. I was really touched to hear the public singing along "What For?" and "Me and Bobby McGee" which is one of my very dear and favorite songs.
The organizers had taken a great care of almost even slightest detail to secure the smooth run of the event. We had the chance to see the beautiful surroundings of Zaandam - windmills, architecture, and I guess, the Dutch team had ordered even the sunshine and warmth especially for the Eurovision event. Thank you!
Talk to you soon!
