Thanks...but I think the girls were really bad in performing the song alive,one of them started to sing before music and the other one made a huge mistacke at the end of the song...but the song itself,yeah it's good,modern,It would have been so much better if they sang on English :( Still this year was fantastic
P.S.just right now I'm listening to Paula and Ovi...love them so much! Who were your favourites this year? See ya!

If Turkey qualifies to the final because of the second place, then I am gonna get annoyed, it would be unfair, most for Romania.

PAULA & OVI are in the final!!!Congratulations,good place to Romania,Romania did not took good place after 2006.Now,Romania will be in top 3.

Hello there!

I am happy for Romania too. I have somewhat mixed emotions towards the act. I think Paula is great, but I feel Ovi is overdoing it a bit. I also feel they are sitting down for too long, which makes the whole thing a bit too static.

But the chorus is good, and with a bit of luck Romania could have a better place than last year, maybe top ten?

And next year - a real blockbuster that could win and bring all of ESC to Bucharest. Good luck!

Hello!

Tonight,we will see Paula & Ovi!They will qualify to the final and in the final they will take so good place!I love this song!But in the first semifinal we missed Slovakia (favourite of the competiton)And Finland (the great song).But tonight Israel,Turkey,Romania,Armenia,Azerbaijan and more good songs will qualify to the final!

Hey,

well it was a shame for Finland, since everyone in Oslo seemed so sure we would qualify. But we have been in this spot before, it is a bit sad, but the only thing you can do is come back next year with a new song.

I think a surprising result adds flavour to the broadcast, and if the viewers and juries have a different opinion to mine, I just have to deal with it.

But I would really have preferred songs like Finland, Slovakia and Latvia in the final instead of a few who made the cut.

But best of luck for Romania tonight. Paula was brilliant in the rehearsal last night, not too sure about Ovi, though. Fingers crossed!

Hey there!

YES, I will be the commentator for Svenska YLE also 2010. So my voice will be heard on television as well as radio. It is a big honour, and I will do my best to keep my viewers/listeners in a good mood.

I think it is very hard to predict the outcome of the semis, especially the first one, as many songs sound pretty similar. As for Finland, I hope for a place in the final, but I am far from sure.

Romania should make it to the final, you have a remarkable way of making your songs work with the televoters. Also, Paula Seling is just fantastic.

Fingers crossed for a good final and a good winner. AND for a more exciting voting this year - last year was no fun at all from a commentator's point of view.

It's very cool to think about that Romania and 9 other countries has qualified every year since the semi-final introduction.

That Romania is one of those who always get's to the final ;-D

I would be weird not to see those 10 countries in the final.

and this year Romania is in the same semi as Denmark so I can vote, :-)

I don't understand why Germany & Azerbaijan is so overrated, many other countries are way better, I would on the other hand like to see Greece & Turkey or Moldova or Sloavkia in the top.

Then of course also Denmark :-)
But let's just hope for Romania to reach a high place this year. :-)

Hey Andrei, I read your post on why Romania is underrated, and let me tell you something: that's not always bad. It creates the surprise factor. In my opinion Romania has an amazing song this year, so I really hope you'll make it to the final, and get a good result!!!!

Now I read your blog post "What went wrong" and I really think nothing really went wrong. The final line-up was very strong, and Romania just had a bit of bad luck and didn't capture the voters attention enough. Nothing was wrong with the performance, Elena was really good on the night. Both 2008 and 2009, I feel Romania should have done better in the finals, but maybe 2010 is your year?

It was our commentator Graham Norton, he didn't accuse her of singing playback he said "although they're all supposed to be singing live, look out for the woman in the back wearing tha blue dress" which was a stupid thing to say, she was her baking singer and anyone who know of Elena knows she can sing amazing live!

Just read your comments re: last night - gutted Elena was only 19th. I voted for her about 10 times last night and 10 times in the semi final. Sadly the UK didn't give them any points in the final (and only 2 in the semi). I loved her performance. I can't stand the winning song - I think it's so weak.

PS! Is Dida Dragan still around? Loved her entry from 1993 - it should have done way better in my opinion...

Hey there.
I admit I don't know absolutely nothing about Elena other than her ESC entry. That's why my comments referred ONLY to that, and if you listen carefully again at her performance in Selectia Nationala, you'll see that she didn't sing very good... at least that day.
In spirit of fairness, I do promise to look up some other songs and listen to them, because if you are so passionate about this girl, there must be something good about here... I'll get back to you on that!

right now i must say i looks weak
but if you try to check my polls you will see how many have voted and i can say that allready over 500 people have voted and as god news for us romania is leading the poll

let just hope it continues

Hey Andrei. I'm sorry if you were offended by my review of the Romanian entry, still, I stand by it, I really don't like the song, but hey, this is what the contest is all about anyways, you like some songs, others you don't... I don't think you have to be rude just because I don't like your country's song!!!
And, just for the record, I think more than twice every time I post something, so don't worry, my comments on 'The Balkan Girls' were really the product of reflection, and not something I just wrote off my gut!!!

I think it so cool that we have the same profil picture and that sure because we both are romanian's you are sure much more then me but i have seen that i cant see the turkish & romanian video but i hope also romania will win if they do then it is possible we meet next year

Yes i am a half romanian and half iranian living in Denmark

but what i wrote is some romanian i know to write i understand but cant write so much in romanian :- )

But about ''The Balkan Girls'' i mean that it is a good song and i hope it will win but i know it dont maybe but a place in the final is for sure :-)
