da stiu...e groaznic piesa cu bochetaru ala! si in 2007 ne`o facut de tot kktu cu imputitu celalalt ! wshm de capu lui nush cum l`o putut vota si in finala nat... in shcimb Hotel Fm e o trupa de la mine din Oradea! pe compozitor il cunosc pers... pe Baruta! bv lor totusi sunt din provincie si au aj pana la faza finala :P da o sa vedem sunt tare curioasa! si m`am mai gandit la Catalin ca dc nu merge linistit si reprezinta Moldova...ar avea mult mai mari sanse fiind si basarabean...deja de 2 ani tot incearca si nimic...si o castigat si Megastaru dar vad ca nu e apreciat asa ceva... ar putea totusi la anu sa isi reprezinte Moldova ca sigur ar ajunge la eurovision! take care!!! >:D<

hmm... mda.,. asta e adevarat ca din 2007 cred ca tot incearca si sa stii ca e una dintre cele mai bune voci a tarii.... ! :) compozitorii sunt de vina pt ca nu face o melodie care s`o reprezinte pe ea..! la fel a patit si Elena... n`o fost piesa de ea atat in rest ea o fost f okey! imi place si piesa moldovencei Tina e reusita.. sa vedem pe 6 Martie.. pupici si Hai Romania ;)) !

Now I read your blog post "What went wrong" and I really think nothing really went wrong. The final line-up was very strong, and Romania just had a bit of bad luck and didn't capture the voters attention enough. Nothing was wrong with the performance, Elena was really good on the night. Both 2008 and 2009, I feel Romania should have done better in the finals, but maybe 2010 is your year?

It was our commentator Graham Norton, he didn't accuse her of singing playback he said "although they're all supposed to be singing live, look out for the woman in the back wearing tha blue dress" which was a stupid thing to say, she was her baking singer and anyone who know of Elena knows she can sing amazing live!

Just read your comments re: last night - gutted Elena was only 19th. I voted for her about 10 times last night and 10 times in the semi final. Sadly the UK didn't give them any points in the final (and only 2 in the semi). I loved her performance. I can't stand the winning song - I think it's so weak.

Anyway, give me a shout on email if you like - Andrew7436@aol.com to talk more Elena! We saw her at the pre-show party in London a few weeks ago and she was excellent! I have some pictures too.

Hey there.
I admit I don't know absolutely nothing about Elena other than her ESC entry. That's why my comments referred ONLY to that, and if you listen carefully again at her performance in Selectia Nationala, you'll see that she didn't sing very good... at least that day.
In spirit of fairness, I do promise to look up some other songs and listen to them, because if you are so passionate about this girl, there must be something good about here... I'll get back to you on that!

Hey Andrei. I'm sorry if you were offended by my review of the Romanian entry, still, I stand by it, I really don't like the song, but hey, this is what the contest is all about anyways, you like some songs, others you don't... I don't think you have to be rude just because I don't like your country's song!!!
And, just for the record, I think more than twice every time I post something, so don't worry, my comments on 'The Balkan Girls' were really the product of reflection, and not something I just wrote off my gut!!!
