As we take a breather from the Eurovision Song Contest before continuing on with the national selections this week, here's my top 10 (Eurovision style from 1 to 12 - Ed) along with my verdict on the entries so far.
Note: They're all entirely my opinions and not everyone will agree with me. Order subject to change.
1 - Belgium. The only thing I managed to hear is the group trying to gel together.
2 - Switzerland. Anna Rossinelli has a sweet voice but shame about the song itself.
3 - Iceland. Not quite what I had in mind when I thought about Aftur Heim but unfortunately it lacks the 'wow' factor for me.
4 - Finland. Da Da Dam is a sweet song but again lacks the 'wow' factor.
5 - Albania. An unusual song but it manages to stand out for me.
6 - Netherlands. Quite like this one and I strongly feel that the Netherlands, in an easier semi final, have a genuine chance of reaching the final.
7 - Malta. Ever since Malta sent in Morena's Vodka in 2008, Malta has done surprisingly well when it comes to sending in 'catchy' songs without it being too cheesy.
8 - Romania. Change is a catchy song however I can't seem to imagine this do any better than Paula and Ovi's ingenious Playing With Fire.
10 - Norway. Pleasant to listen to and Haba Haba certainly brings a touch of Africa to the Eurovision Song Contest. Far better than listening to a vuvuzela.
And the Douze Points goes to......
12 - Poland. Incredibly surprised on Jestem. Very catchy song along with Magdalena Tul's superb vocals. Just need a few improvements and we'll have a serious contender for the Eurovision title.
