Please don't be such a nationalist talking about "pro-russian nationalists" ;) And, by the way, in what year, do you think, a really good song has won this "song" contest? Finland? Estonia? ...

There have been loads of really good songs that won Eurovision
Lets start with 2011, Running scared was an excellent song
2007 Molitva one of the best songs ever
2005 - my number one
2000 - Take me to your heaven (which will be played at my funeral for your noting)
1996 The Voice
1993 - In your eyes (by far one of the most powerful songs)
1988 - Ne Partez pas san moi
1987 - hold me now
and yes there has been some crap that has one Lordi for starters, I wanna in 2002 (worse one ever actually), Ding-a-dong in 1975 (Europe has never forgiven the dutch for that one)
and as for the pro-russian nationalist votes that refers to votes coming from you neighbours such as Latvia, Finland etc who may like that type of tradional Russian sound sorry song
so a good song can win the contest and there is always the risk a joke will win too but I always opt for the song - remember Verka nearly won for the Ukraine in 2007 but thankfully that wasnt the outcome
