If you ever needed a reason to stop televoting just look at the results for Blockvoting and Diaspora element.

In fairness Germany won despite the clusters and fair play to them but you need to examine closer the overall result and why some counteries did so baldy and others were placed much higher than their song deserved. And its not about regional musical tastes as modern rock and traditional ethnic are not unique to any region

So on closer examination - the ex USSR counteries (7 out of 10 were in the final) put Georgia, Russia, Ukraine,Azerbaijan, Germany and Armenia as their top 6 (sorry Belarus and Moldova they didnt rate you)

The former Yugoslavian counteries managed to get two out of five in the final and put Serbia first and Bosnia joint second with Germany

The Nordic (the worse for political voting of all time) had 3 out of 5 in the final but put Germany first followed by Denmark, Rominia, Belgium, France and Iceland.

As for the Diaspora - Turkey and Armenia did very well from the usual Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark - not because those nations liked your songs but because of your ex-pats voting for national pride ( I should point out I loved the Turkish entry this year -- their best ever I thought)

So whats new these aint one-off trends, they have being going on for years (esp the Nordic lot) and the question is how can it be stopped and more importantly well done Lena for coming through it all and winning lol
