Some people may consider it a waste of a day but I sat watching the live streams from the arena and I have say it looks like despite many concerns on the standard of the songs we are in for a treat.
Poland were a great opener. Norway will struggle I think. Albina will blow your socks off. Armenia will qualify but not for the quality of the song> Turkey was much better than I expected. Serbia was great, just hope coming after a commercial break wont harm it. Russia will be a real contender. The Swiss will stand out, simple and effective. Georgia was messy and loud. Finland was boring but will be borderline to qualify
Tomorrow will be the 5 songs that will contest for last place in this semi, Malta, San Marino, Portugal, Croatia and Lithenuina - I think that 7 of the first 10 songs in this semi could qualify with just 3 from the last 9.
