Sorry for my late reply, but I’m a bit busy with the studies these days!
I’m really glad you like my blogs and it’s great you find them useful! :-) Thanks!
It’ll be interesting to see how many countries will take part in Baku. I’m not so sure about Armenia yet, but I really hope they will take part. Czech Rep. and Slovakia too... It would be a shame to see Portugal out, but there are some problems there with rights and broadcasting and stuff, so they might be out. But we have to wait and see.
No, I don’t think Denmark will win next year – but finishing 4th and 5th sure gives us hope, but it’s way too soon to say anything. The good songs in 2010 and 2011 won’t help us if we send crap for 2012, and we may very well do that. Again, we have to wait and see :)
Yes, I study Nordic literature, culture and languages at the university here in Copenhagen (usually I just refers to it as school). I’m working on an exam paper at the moment – that’s why it sometimes takes me a few days to reply on messages. I also work at the university... What about you, if I may ask? Do you study?

Anyway! Yes, it’ll surely be interesting to see what’s going to happen in Baku, both what concerns the show and venue but also all the political issues like the conflict with Armenia, the Israel-Iran-problem, and also the gay-rights. Eurovision itself is one of the biggest gay-parades, at great part of the fans are openly gay, and that may cause some troubles when ESC is situated in a conservative country. There were problems in Moscow when the mayor called homosexuality ‘satanic’, and there were some problems with the gay-parade which took place in the same time as Eurovision. There were rumours that some of the participants wouldn’t enter the stage (I think it was the Dutch, maybe some more) because of the way gays were treated. I know squat about Azerbaijan, but what you describe sounds even worse. I’ll stay neutral on the Armenia-Azerbaijan-conflict – I just hope Armenia also will take part in the competition next year...
No, unfortunately the contest in Düsseldorf collided with some school projects for me, so I couldn’t go, and I probably won’t go to Baku either – maybe ESC in Copenhagen 2013! ;)
Thank you so much for your nice words about my blogs. I really appreciate that. I’m glad you find them interesting.

Dima's songs are not among my favourites either. I think I like Believe a bit more than "Never let you go", but it wasn't a winner - not at all. Loads of better songs in the contest that year.
Serebro was great. I like most of their songs I've heard.
The Azeri song - to be honest, I think it's extremely boring, I was sure it was going to do very well. Espeically after the draw for the final, when all the other hard competetors were in a cluster earlier in the show. But they fun, and that's ok! I would have preferred Italy or Germany though - or Denmark :)
