Sabina Babayeva Will Be Singing On Home Soil!

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan after Azerbaijan last year in Düsseldorf finally got the victory, which they have been trying since 2008.

With the victory, Azerbaijan gets the hosting rights, but last year when Germany got the rights to host, then it was Lena who was going to defend her title on home soil, but this year Ell & Nikki will not be the ones to defend Azerbaijan's title.

After a long time of heats after heats, only the winner from all the heats that went to the semi-final, where 5 out of the 8 heat winners, would go to the final.

The choice was decided 100% by the jury, and in the end Sabina Babayeva could call herself the 2012 representative of Azerbaijan.

It is unknown what song she will compete with on home soil, but it is expected to be selected on 17th March 2012.

Sabina was born on 2nd December 1979 in Baku, so she will know the place really well, when she will be competing.

Azerbaijan as host country will already be qualified for the final, so there will be no need to qualifying from the semi-final for the host country.
