Nationaal Songfestival 2012 To Be Held Tonight!

Tonight the final of the Nationaal Songfestival 2012 will be held, and once again it has some changes into the format.

The Netherlands has failed to qualify year after year after year to the final, and this time they hope to reach the final, after all The Netherlands haven't been in the final since 2004.

In 2010, a song called ''Ik Ben Verliefd(Sha-la-lie)'' would be the representative of Netherlands, when 5 different singers performed each their own version of the song, Sieneke was the lucky one going to Oslo, but failed to qualify. In 2011 The Netherlands went on an internal way, and selected 3JS, and they performed 5 songs that the viewers could select from, and the winning song was ''Never Alone'', but also they failed to qualify.

This year, in 2012, The Netherlands will do something else, and they will have duels between the competitors, there will be 3 duels, and each winner will go to the super-final.

these are the following duels:
Raffaëla Paton - "Chocolatte"
Joan Franka - "You and Me"

Kim de Boer - "Children of the World"
Ivan Peroti - "Take me as I am’"

Pearl Jozefzoon - "We can overcome"
Tim Douwsma - "Undercover Lover"

The winner of each duel, will move to the super-final, where the winner will be crowned.

The outcome will be decided by 50% juries and 50% televoters.

Last year Netherlands was present in Düsseldorf, when 3JS represented the country, but as told before, they failed to qualify to the grand final, when they ended on the last place in the semi-final.
