The days are finally here, this is the time of the year, where we celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest, some kind of 2 week long Christmas for Eurovision fans all over the world.

Reporting from Denmark, I'll try to find interviews, rehearsals and other things, if I can and post them on my blog here from now on, until the big days come upon us.

IMPORTANT:
Notice: that I'm not watching any rehearsals myself, in very few cases I'll watch some rehearsals, but I would like to keep myself surprised for the big nights, so I'll only watch interviews and press conferences, also I'll type what some Danish people are saying that happens in Baku. :-)

Today the first day begun, and we had the first half of the countries from the first semi-final performing on the stage in their performing order: Montenegro, Iceland, Greece, Latvia, Albania, Romania, Switzerland, Belgium & Finland.

Here we now take a look on what has been going on today in Baku Crystal Hall:

Montenegro: Rambo Amadeus - Euro Neuro
1st Rehearsal:

First day, started horrible have I heard, because the Montenegrin delegation was delayed, so all the rehearsals were moved with 1 hour and 30 minutes, but a very bad rehearsal I hear they had, by having technical difficulties, and sound issues, also that Montenegro tried to pull a real donkey on stage, but were not allowed, and that it got replaced with a Trojan donkey, but a press conference as well, that was meant to be just as bad.

Iceland: Greta Salome & Jonsi - Never Forget
1st Rehearsal:

1st Press Conference:

Interview:

Rumors says, that Iceland did really well, they did good enough and proved that they don't even need all these rehearsals, because they are completely ready, and everything should be said, also Jonsi said how much the contest has changed throughout the time since he last competed back in 2004, and that his 2 sons really like the Russian grannies.

Greece: Elefteria Eleftheriou - Aphrodisiac
1st Rehearsal:

Interview:

The same old song, so this is typical what Greece sends to the contest, and they always do well when they send this type of music again and again, so no wonder that they will do well again this year.

Latvia: Anmary - Beautiful Song
1st Rehearsal:

A little boring rehearsal do I hear, weird and ugly background, and boring performance, when the only thing they really did, was going around in circles, and moving a little around, but the press conference was something else, when they began to sing Azeri songs, that would collect some votes from the host country.

Albania: Rona Nishliu - Suus
1st Rehearsal:

Interview:

Romania: Mandinga - Zalielah
1st Rehearsal:

Some kind of a boring rehearsal, because they didn't made use of their instruments the first couple of times, but later on during the rehearsals, the instruments came on, and were perfectly synchronized, like their very nearly like robots, but if they spread their happiness, like they did during the national final, then hopefully, the charm will return.

Switzerland: Sinplus - Unbreakable
1st Rehearsal:

Interview:

We still have the pronouncing problem, but it is of course better than before, so a little more rehearsal over the pronouncing should do it, otherwise good energy on the stage.

Belgium: Iris - Would You?
1st Rehearsal:

Nothing special, just really boring.

Finland: Pernilla Karlsson - När Jag Blundar
1st Rehearsal:

Really lucky that Finland is after Belgium, because that will help a lot, and her Swedish is not that bad, as it normally is on the most Finnish people, and she does it a nicely way, by having a nice dress, which also fits the performance.
