Singer(s): Ell & Nikki
Song: Running Scared
Country: Azerbaijan

First Thought:
Well, my thought was like that I didn’t really care what I was listening to, because it in a way reminded my too much of the entry from 2010, and then I know why it does, because the writers are the same, but I must say I didn’t felt convinced over the Azeri entry, because it sounded a lot the same, and I really didn’t have the biggest interest at the start.

My Review:
The song is slowly growing on me, I must be honest and say, because I believe it is better than the entry from last year, and it is also in a way catchy in my head, but I can’t imagine myself that the song will do well, I even think that I will end on 6th or 7th place at the grand final, because it is one of the favorites, but that doesn’t mean it will do better than last year.

Ratings:
7 Out of 10 Stars

Future:
I don’t really listen that much to the song because I still have something like a bad thought about the song, because it keeps reminding me of the 2010 entry, but I feel that I am beginning to listen to the song more and more, day by day, and I even believe that I will listen to it while we are getting closer to the contest, but I think that my interest will be completely gone after the contest. :-P

Bookmakers:
For the third year in a row is Azerbaijan keeping the status as one of the countries favorites to win again this year, this year the bookmakers spot them to be fighting for the title again the past 2 years, this year with the highest odds on 27/2 and the lowest being on 9/1, which are god enough odds to fight for the first place with, but compared to last year, then Azerbaijan is seen as a little weaker.

Compared To Former Entries: (2004-2010):
There is not much history to compare this song with because this is only the fourth time Azerbaijan will compete since their debut in 2008, but I believe that this is the third best song in their Eurovision history, or another to say it the second worst song in their history, because I more liked the entries from 2008 and 2009, while I will rather compare this year with the song from 2010, and I must say it only beats last year song by little.
