The Team of Radio International would like to invite to join the weekly Ultimate Eurovision Experience. The Show is broadcast on 106.8FM and Digital Cabel 41 in the Netherlands and also via the internet via www.radiointernational.tv and will also be web-televised via the show's own Live Video Channel via the website. The simulcast will be from 2000 – 2300 hours CET this Wednesday.
Special Edition of the Radio International this week. Eric Lehmann and JP will be in the studio during this Easter Holiday with a special show. All our regulars like Luke, Andy and the UK correspondence are off on Easter holidays this week and return next week.
Interview with SINPLUS (Switzerland 2012):
Last December brothers Ivan and Gabriel collectively called SINPLUS won the Swiss National Final with the song "Unbreakable" which is the Swiss entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Switzerland will be in Semi Final 1 at Number 7 on 22 May 2012. SINPLUS were invited as interval act in the Maltese National Final at the beginning of February 2012 where JP met the singers for an interview which you can hear on Radio International this week.
Interview with Molly Sanden (Melodifestivalen 2012):
Emerging from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest representing Sweden Molly Sanden has developed to one of the finest singers in Sweden. She took part in the huge Melodifestivalnalen competing for the ticket to Baku to represent Sweden once more but then at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Azerbaijan. Unfortunately, she did not get enough points and her song "Why am I crying" ranked at Number 5 in the Meldifestivalen Final. Eric and JP had the big pleasure in meeting and interviewing the young singer after the Dress Rehearsal and also after the Final. Listen to both short interviews during this week's edition of Radio International.
Interview with Death by April (Melodifestivalen 2012):
It is a known fact that Sweden will be represented by Loreen at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. Loreen won Melodifestivalen 2012 with the song "Euphoria" which will be in Semi Final 2 at Number 11. However, one of Loreen's competitors in Melodifestivalen 2012 were Hardrock Band Death by April whose entry "Mystery" ranked at Number 7. Mireille from Luxembourg's Eldoradio interviewed the rockers for us which you can hear on this week's show.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Flashback:
With the event in Baku, Azerbaijan on 22, 24 and 26 May 2012 the Eurovision Song Contest celebrates 57 years. During this week's edition of the show Eric and JP will take you back to the Eurovsion Song Contests from 1962 (50 years ago), 1972 (40 years ago), 1982 (30 years ago) and 1992 (20 years ago). Enjoy the Trip back Memory Lane of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Sounds of Azerbaijan - Aygun Kazimova:
The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) previously known as the London Azerbaijan Society. Its objective is to promote Azerbaijani culture, business and public affairs to international audiences, and create to a sense of community for expatriate Azerbaijanis. TEAS supports Radio International during the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and with the weekly edition of the show it will bring you the finest artists of Azerbaijan a bit closer. This week's featured artist is Aygun Kazimova.
