Just a moment ago ended first dress-rehearsal for the first semi final.
Well.. I have to tell you that i was very disappointed about many things.

First of all the presenters are boring as hell, with no energy what so ever. It is like they really did not want to be there. They ALL spoke in monotone voice and oddly enough not a very good, understandable English.
The bits where they speak seem to drag on for hours and they dont add anything to this show. I actually think they should skip the presenters and just show some random mixed clips about artists having fun in Oslo.
The whole show was kinda slow – mostly thanks to the presenters, and i am wondering – if it is boring for person like me – who loves Eurovision with all my heart – then for ”normal” people it will be torture... I am actually scared that by the time Iceland will be performing as last act, there will not be many people watching any more.

But hey – it was only the first dress-rehearsal. I am sure i was not the only one who noticed that and I hope they will get better by tomorrow nigh. They only have 2 rehearsals left to drastically change who they are :)

It is funny that we came to this really rich country and many things actually screams CRISIS. But I think they are taking an easy ride on the general assumption that this year it is all on budget because of the crisis in the rest of the world. I really don't think that Norway is actually so poor that they cannot afford to start off the show with decent opening act- as there was NONE. The graphics for voting looks like something from the age 1988. The electronic envelope opening to announce the qualifiers is done without any imagination, without any real effort to make this really exciting moment to look graphically cool. Maybe they wanted to keep it simple, but I think there is fine line between simple and classy and between plane boring.

The performers did their job good, but at some acts the camera work is just dreadful – especially for Moldova and Greece, where somehow camera crew thinks it is more important to film every single pore in singers face up close not giving the excellent backup dancers any airtime..

So.. Lets hope it all gets better by tomorrow evening!
