British Comedian Justin Lee Collins (noted presenter of the very funny Friday Night Project on Channel 4) is currently working on a TV show for the British TV station Channel 5. He is documenting his efforts in trying to become the Eurovision Representative for any country in Oslo 2010.
He has decided not to enter the UK's song for Europe as he is well known there but instead he has applied to 3 countrues currently - Estonia, Andorra and Ireland. He was on live TV yesterday in Ireland (The Afternoon Show) complete with his own TV crew desperately pleeding with RTE and the Irish Public to let him at least make it to the Irish Selection Finals. He said that if he is selected by RTE to be one of the final 5 singers, Boyzone star Ronan Keating has promised that he will compose a song specifically for Justin to perform. Considering how well Ronan Keating did In Moscow co-writing the Danish entry, that could be a positive for Justin Lee Collins.
We all hold our breath here in Ireland and await the results of Linda Martin and her selection Committee. Good Luck Justin!!
