Hey RodriMuchos Gracias - I hope that is correct but Thank you very much for your kind words. You have no idea just how excited Ireland was on Thursday night and when we qualified the country went crazy. Today on the train going to work Niamh was on the front of every newspaper and people were all talking about the Eurovision - which is great.
You know I actually think that Spain is one of my favourites to win. Daniel has been AMAZING in rehearsals. Like you I Love Denmark, France, Greece. I think they could easily win. I also like Portugal, Belgium ,Cyprus, Israel, Iceland, Germany and Serbia.
This year there is no clear winner and i hope it will be very close in the voting. I can honestly say that I do not like Azerbaijan - a lot of money spent on a song that is rather boring and does not look good on stage. I also cannot see the big fascination in Armenia.
Oh it will be so good tonight. But I really think that Spain could be in the Top 3 and I have said that from when he was selected. The jury will love the song and the televoters will find him handsome. I think he may just do it.
Thank you again for your kind wishes. In another mail I will tell you about the Flashmob dance in Dublin that will be in the Interval - I organised it so Iam very proud of that.
Have a great time tomorrow night and will write to you next week.
Buena suerte Daniel y España

I still have not heard all the songs, but this year is difficult to predict the winner... From the ballads I think Norway has a fair chance.
Spain and Ireland might be from 10th to 15th position.
From the mid-tempo songs I would say Denmark, Romania and Azerbaijan are going to get a good result. I have not heard real "disco songs" this year for a change!
Which are your favourites to win this year?

Congrats for choosing a good song, though! Regards, Rodri.

Hey RodriGreat to hear from you. Thank you for your kind words regarding our song this year. We are VERY happy here in Ireland to have Niamh Kavanagh back representing us at Eurovision again. Hopefully she can repeat her 1993 victory for us.
Yes there are a lot of ballads but only a few good ones I think. I love Daniel's song this year and I hope that he will do very well. What a shame that you will be performing in the dreaded number 2 position and just before the host country. But looking at all the Internet polls he is in the Top 5 for you and I think Spain will be back in the Top 10 where you belong. I am very much looking forward to seeing his performance on the Big Stage in Oslo - it should look wonderful.
Who do you think might win this year?
Cheers
Gary
