About me

Hi, I live in and love Latvia, and am interested in people, places, cultures and wonders of the world. I think, life can anytime turn out to be as short as the next moment, so I try to dive in the things P.S. Do you know the meaning of my nickname "Nakupenda"? It's "I love you" in swahili language.:)...

So here is my own top-10 for this Final:
1. Israel
Maybe in this contest there are songs more beautiful, and singers better, and performances more impressive. But this one (music, lyrics, and Harel's voice and personality)touches my heart most, this is The One for me.:)
2. Norway
Since I'm a ballad-lover, I admit that this one is absolutely perfect. An amazingly beautiful song, great singer... Only the slight feeling that... it is somehow all too perfect and dazzling for me to believe that Didrik's heart is really... hmm, well... mine.:)) (meaning myself as part of the audience and his adressees, of course:)
3. Spain
Oh, and again... a catchy tune, a pleasant-looking guy, a great performance... and such strangely sweet sadness around this song that captures me and doesn't let go...
4. Germany
Well, I like it!:) I don't know why this entry is so appealing to almost anyone I know = people of different ages, both genders, various musical tastes...) But I'm waiting her performance with some excitement - I want to see how all this will look like and sound live, on ESC stage. The pre-video was good, but who knows...
5. Ukraine
Great voice and - yes, I really like the song itself very much.
6. Belgium
All-over heart-touching, what can I say.:) Reminds of Jason Mraz.
7. Russia
I like their style, the singer, the song itself - although many here criticize this entry so much, it somehow captures me, makes me smile (in the photo-looking scene), and does not get out of my head...
8. Ireland
She is so sweet, and the song's beautiful, ow, I love it!:)
9. Romania
A dynamic performance, I like the originality.
10. France
As Astrid&Guri mentioned somewhere here, "a football song or what? But we like it!" Yeeaah!!!! And I like it, too! Ole!!
***
All that said, I'd like to note that actually I am an opera fan, over everything. And classical music. Eurovision is the only time in a year when I listen so much to other types of music. I love Eurovision atmosphere... (probably, most of all - the hour when the voting results are appearing... and screaming, together with my family and friends, when all this comes close to the end and the image of the winner is emerging more and more clearly...)

I wish all the participants that they manage to do their very best tonight (of course, I'm selfish, too, because then we, the audience, will also gain, won't we?:)

I'll go and make lasagna and some delicious dessert for my screaming guests tonight.;) Hey, don't you forget to provide tasty or special things for this evening, do you all hear me?:))

The show will be great!
