Mein Goldfisch ist verwirrt

Last day of stand in rehearsals! We’ve now done all songs but Denmark and Ireland, that we’ll do tomorrow afternoon, and we are READY for the delegations!

Right now, there are no complaints being stuck inside the arena. Weather was pretty crap yesterday, with rain, thunder and lightning.

But there is Good news too! Alistair Birch from Australian Radio spotted my Erbensuppe on a luggage trolley zipping around Newark Airport in New York today. Hopefully he brings it back to me, since he is scheduled to show up in Düsseldorf tomorrow. It becomes clearer by the minute, and this was also pointed out by Alistair, how important food is to Germans. They even slipped it into their language. For example, ¨Das ist mir wurst¨- literally- that is sausage to me, actually means- ¨I don’t care about that¨
Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe I won’t be fluent in German after all……. Tricky stuff!

The search for the true meaning of Schnabelkäse continues.
Günter Swob found this image on the net, and it might have something to do with it, but I’m not sure!

Some of us headed up to Cologne this evening, to see Lena performing her last show of her tour. She’s such an amazing performer, the show was really good. And she is about to do something no one else has done before her! She was 19 years old when she performed her winning song in Oslo last year, and will STILL be 19 years old when she enters the stage for the Grand Finale on May 14. A record hard to beat!

Judith Rakers is in da house! Here together with our Producer for the TV show, Jörg Grabosch. Judith is hosting the show together with Anke Engelke and Stefan Raab.

Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor, Sietse Bakker, Event Supervisor and Marieke Duijts, Event Coordinator enjoying the rehearsals.

Xanten Stratmann is the Head of Production Managment from Brainpool, here together with Stuart Dale Barlow, our viewing room manager, that claims that he's starting to find his inner self.......... I will NOT go into details about this........ :-)

Never forget:

In Heaven:

The cooks are French,
The policemen are English,
The mechanics are German,
The lovers are Italian,
The bankers are Swiss.

In Hell:

The cooks are English,
The policemen are German,
The mechanics are French,
The lovers are Swiss,
The bankers are Italian.
