The BBC announced today (October 18, 2008) that Andrew Lloyd Webber has agreed to compose the United Kingdom entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. He will now embark on a nationwide search for the singer or group that will perform his song.

This is incredibly positive for the United Kingdom... a world famous name to produce and write our entry and a month of shows for the viewing public to enjoy and really get worked up...
We may not win but as long as we get a Top 5 or 10 position i'll be glad! This might help to rekindle the British public's love for Eurovision ;-)
