When non-Anglophone artists write songs in English (and blogs as well ;) the problem is not the thick accent, the rhyme, or the music. The problem is to lose the poetic sense in your song.

I don't know much about Dino Merlin but I can see he is a great songwriter and an amazing vocalist (either in English, French or Bosnian). Love in rewind have a very pleasant melody and would have been a perfect song if it wasn't for a couple of meaningless verses: "Healthy children go to school. My daughter's in love, my son loves too" a fragment that doesn't make any sense and I can't find any relation to a song about a lost-forgotten love...... I mean, Wha??

For the sake of getting votes by having an entry in English you take away the professionalism of your song.

I can see it getting through the final and even achieving a descent placing because is a nice song and appeals to the public but those not deserve a first place. I'd rather have the song in Bosnian with a few lines in English.
