We are just a week away from the Malta Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final. 24 performers will compete to earn one of the 16 passes to the final night on Saturday 4th of February.
Meanwhile TVM announced that this year the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012 will welcome a number of local and foreign guests to entertain the public.
The local guests will include Glen Vella, winner of the Malta Eurovision 2011 and award winner for the best video at the Malta Music Awards 2011. Other guests include multiple award winners at the MMA’s, Airport Impressions and the main cast of the popular TV musical DREAMS.
In addition to the local performers TVM has invited the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 Winners Ell and Nikki. The Azerbaijani duo who sang Running Scared had scored 221 votes from across all Europe. Malta had awarded its top vote to the couple.
Other international guests include the French representative in Baku, Anggun, who is mostly noted for her record song Snow On The Sahara and the band Sinplus who will be representing Switzerland.
TVM will be airing live both the semifinal and the final.
