Final Thoughts on Eurovision 2012

After spending a week rewatching the final, here are my final thoughts on this year's contest.

First of all, congratulations Sweden for the victory. Well deserved in my books.

Russia coming second was expected, even if some hated it.

Serbia coming third is not a shock to everyone, but it is to me.

Azerbaijan got another top 5 placing from Sabina. Yay! Well deserved

Albania coming 5th was a TOTAL shock.

All in all, there were some big shocks to me, as in Norway coming last, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Estonia even qualifying in the first place, and Bulgaria tying with Norway in the semis. I am also glad UK came 2nd last, and Slovenia not qualifying (yes, I called it).

Now, as we look forward to Stockholm next year, I wonder who will be a favorite to win. Well, until then, in Swedish, Välkommen till Sverige (Welcome to Sweden).
