Each day until May 9, I will (hopefully) be posting my review of all the entry, so you can expect what's coming up from them. I have decided to do a review of each country in alphabetical order by song name, and Portugal is first.

Country: Portugal
Captial: Lisbon
Local Time for ESC: 20:00
Artist: Homens Da Luta
Song: A Luta Alegria

In my own words, it's about: Protesting for more rights in Portugal (think bailout plans)

My thoughts: I have to admit it's a good song... if you can stand to hear it more than 5 times a day. I can't, so it isn't good. I actually tried to watch the Portuguese selection, but the constant buffering kept me out. I'm pretty sure they have better songs there, but in the end, a group of protest leaders took the Portuguese ticket and are now going to Dusseldorf. Perfect song if you're protesting austerity measures. Take it from Portugal. Greece could do the same next year (they probably won't, and I'll stop there). The only good part about it is that the part about the bread and the wine... well, if you speak or know the Portuguese language, you'll understand what I meant.

Verdict: They will be in the bottom 9 of the May 10 show. I mean, look where all the funny performances from the non-Big 5 countries end up. Seriously, I don't see this in the final.

In the meantime, judge for yourself. I know they got fans in and out of Portugal.
