About me

Of Mexican and German descents, I was born in the United States. I am what I am, except a straight man. Take me as I am or leave me just as you found me. I speak pidgin bits of any language that has come On the other hand, foreign language motion pictures are of my personal interest, but a gay-themed indie has the same effect on me as much as those silents and classics. World Music Awards, Siempre En One evening in early 1983, I turned the tele on and, voilà, the Eurovision Song Contest was taking place in München, Westdeutschland. Only a child, yet I was instantly attractred by all the strange From that moment on until 1989, I was hooked to the song contest year after year. I remember still the Italian entries were top favourites of mine. Johnny Logan's second win was as boring to me as that I AM the DOVE (of hope), the EAGLE (that sees everything), the SPIDER (that weaves everything), the SERPENT (of both envy and vengeance), the SCORPION (of venom that kills itself rather than surrender...

    Hi there Eden,
Nice to hear from you too. Starting to get into the buzz of it all as the selections progress. Looking forward to Ireland's Eurosong on Friday. Not sure who I am gunning for as I will reserve my judgement until I see how the performances turn out.
No doubt will be in touch during the season.
Catchya later, from a rather wet Emerald Isle!
    Cheers,
    Martin

Me too, Martin! The moment Germany won last year, I started making plans to go this year to the ESC but, when looking at the prices going up, I said to myself "Oh, no! You won't go to the ESC!". Ha ha ha! So, I will have no other option but to watch it on my tele. Anyway, how's your week? It snowed here this morning and school was canceled at the last minute. Enough of me for now. Szczepan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkH2II6pD8s <----------------have a look at this. It's a 12 year-old cypriot girl that sings a song from Anna Vissi and then she sings Barbara Streisand's Woman in love. You really have to see it! Then tell me what do you think of it!

    Reply from Edén :

I like the song, but I cannot think of its title right now. Barbara Streisand is not my thing at all. However, is this a talent show? I like it, though.

Well, that is brave of u to speak Greek, but that's not necessary. How do you know Greek anyway? I like Anna Vissi too! Δώδεκααααα, ουτε ενα τηλεφώνημα....and there's more to that! But i don't like Sakis....all the girls from Greece and here looooove him! But I really like Elena Paparizou! She's fantastic.....she's the absolute greek idol with Anna.....Where are u from Edén? Take care then! Bye!

    Reply from Edén :

Well, Antreas! I was born here in the US, lived my childhood in Dresden,Germany, then lived my early teenage years in northern Mexico before returning back to the US in the mid-90s.

I understand you don't like Sakis Rouvas for his obvious girl reasons and I don't blame you at all. Ha ha ha! Anyway, I find him hot. Elena is not a favourite of mine, but I like her two Eurovision songs, "Die For You" and "My Number One". I rather go for Despina Vandi instead. Or, Evridiki.

On the other hand, I am not fluent in speaking Greek since I only know what Anna Vissi sings.

Well, Antreas! Until next time, take care. Thank you for having stopped by my profile.

    Respectfully yours.

Well... Stockholm is nice, but I prefer Oslo. The final isn't that far now!! =D

    Reply from Edén :

I know! Are you planning to go to Oslo?

I think Anna Vissi comes from Greece.^^
But,she maybe just represented Greece in 2006. :)

    Reply from Edén :

My research about Anna Vissi indicates that she was born in Cyprus, but moved to Greece where there were more possibilities for her to become the star as we know her today. I love her with all my heart and listen to her music all the time. It's sad that her CD in English failed to top the US charts.
