EPISODE 28 - From Riga to Stockholm

EPISODE 28 // SWEDEN

When in 2007 I was in Helsinki, the representative from Sweden was “ the Ark ” group. This was the first time in my whole life that I saw Swedish artist in real. But the picture that I watched was not the same as the flashing objectives by other mediacorrespondents. This picture lacked and missed something .. members of this ARK were so arrogant .. so much pride in their body language. I didn’t like it at all. When I read some views at some eurovision forums from some eurovision fans back in 2004, they told the same thing about Lena Philipsson.

And this circuit of arrogance for almost a deccade appeared by Swedish contestants each year. I still wondering why .. At the Metakeskus the Finnish Press Centre a few international newspaper writers told me the same story about this pride-ish thing at those Swedes. I think that this is a negatif social grow of what Melodifestivalen has brought with to us. Of course we all know that winning the Melodifestivalen (one of Europe’s most rooted 4 festivals) is more important then winning the Song Contest itself.

For me I can tell that we will have the first ever Swedish eurovision artist without any pride and arrogance. Anne Bergendahl, so spontanious and shining so modest that she will conquerer the hearts of the European continent as she cherished the hearts of the Swedish people. I think that this was the main factor that the most sms tele-voting went to Anna. How a profile and performance of an artist can back-up the song. That’s what euovision should be all about.

Think of a wood where you were walking and beneath a tree you saw a dozen roses and between them you saw in the nicest colour of nature the magical tulip .. this song is that mysterious tulip. A decent song but also so fragile, but at the and the song braids with your heart whole your body. At the same time this song is so repetitive and we heared and seen a lot of those sort of songs in whole the Eurovision History.

The one and only important point that this song will make the TOP 5 is in the hands of Anna. She has all the potential in her to let the song the chance to grow with her together. So we can finish in beautyness. The first time that I love da Swedish song in te last deccade. And after Oslo a new era of a decade will be awaiting us..

By the way the magic (the performance of Anna in the Globen Arena) is totally spoiled by the new video. Why .. why .. :((((
