Profile of maNga (m)

Ferman Akgul, the lead vocalist of maNga, Turkey’s Eurovision Song Contest entry this year, has discharged from the hospital where he had treatment due to a palpitation he suffered last week. Ferman joined his fellow band members for concerts and preparations for the contest. He takes this opportunity to thank his close friends, fellow artists and fans who gave him great support through the time he spent at the hospital.

Other members of maNga, on the other hand, continued their promo trips in Bulgaria, Greece and Azerbaijan as planned and returned home by the beginning of the week.

After attending TV shows and interviews in Sofia, maNga moved on to Athens and had the chance to meet Greece’s Giorgos Alkaios & Friends at ERT studios. Contestants of the two neighbour countries had the chance to chat for some time about the contest and the preparations and wished each other success for Oslo.

After stopping in Istanbul for a day, maNga then moved on to Azerbaijan and welcomed by the press at Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport. They stated that they are extremely happy to be able to find the time and chance to visit the fellow country. During their two days of promotion in Azerbaijan, maNga members enjoyed great interest from their fans during their TV shows and interviews.
