I heard from one of indonesian music weblog that Blue will represent UK for this year's ESC, wow... I am so excited about that. I mean, when i was a teen, i am a fan of them and i am very happy that in their reunion this year, they will represent their country in ESC. OMG, my favourite boyband will participate at ESC,which has been my favourite music/ song contest. Well, i got two at once, that will be great:) I still remember their hits e.g. All Rise, One Love, Best in Me, and many many more. I heard about their reunion plan, but i never thought that it would be in Eurovision, this is such a big news.
And i believe that i'm not the only person who got the excitement on Blue's participation, but all fans will be very very happy about this smashing news. Blue is popular in Europe and Asia (including in Indonesia). They sell 13 million copy of their album and they won Brit awards, with this kinda popularity, it will be beneficial for UK to get a better result than last year.
Last year, it wasn't good for UK, and in order to get a better result, UK changed their strategy in choosing the contestant that will represent them. Last year, UK's people chose a new singer, Josh Dubovie by a national selection. He wasn't bad at all, but the result didn't say so. And this year, for the first time, the British entry has been decided internally by the BBC and UK will send their popular musician that probably will raise people attention to UK, and finally will vote for them. I must confess that it is a good strategy, and i am surprised by this news, i mean, i never thought that i will see Blue, my favourite artist in ESC. Well, how about you guys?
Blue will sing 'I can' for ESC, but i don't know the song yet, but i hope that it will be a good song. I hope they will do the singing and also the dancing, like they did in their concert. Oh, I am memorizing Blue's performances about ten year's ago, hehe. I hope it's not a false dreaming that they will perform well. I already had a great expectation for their performance at ESC.
But actually, it's kinda a boomerang too for Blue for this participation, i mean that Blue is a popular artist in all over Europe, their song and album got a good position in international charts. If they don't win it or at least they don't get a good position and defeat by other contestants who aren't as popular as them, that's definitely will become a boomerang for Blue's music carrer. But if they win it, it would be s great comeback for them. Well ... just wish them luck lads!!!
Blue participation will raise people's attention to ESC as well, wether for those who are already a fan of ESC or for those who don't pay much attention for ESC before. Blue is an international artist with talent and many fanbase. Blue was disbanded/split at 2005, all their fans worldwide are missing Blue somuch for more than five year. When they reunite again and they will perform for the first time at ESC, then their huge fans will pay attention to to ESC. I believe that 2011's ESC will be a better Eurovision, with higher quality of contestant and with great songs also. Can't wait who else that will participate...
BTW, I like the new appearance of this website, it's more user friendly and looks like facebook, great job guys! And keep uploading ESC's videos in Youtube because for us in Indonesia, we don't have the television broadcaster for ESC, so Youtube is our only way to enjoy ESC.
That's all, best regards from Indonesia and HERE, I - REST - MY - CASE!!!
