Semi-Final 2: Performances and more...

Well,the second semi-final was much better organized from the first one,but it was more open to the countries that could qualify.From the 18 countries,10 made it to the final.but televoting and juries agreed at only 6 of those.2 made it from the televoting,2 from the juries and for the first time the tie-break rule was used for the first time in semi-final!So let's take a look at their performances:

Serbia: They've created a beautiful atmosphere in the arena and it looked amazing! Željko was exellent vocally and definately they deserved to qualify.

F.Y.R.O.M.: Kaliopi controled her voice great this time and that was the only thing that I wanted from her to be fixed from the rehearsals.So for me they deserved to be in the final,after 2007.

The Netherlands: It was a really good and organized performance and I would like to see them in th final,but without many counties to vote for them,they stayed out again.They haven't made it since 2004 and that's totally unfair!

Malta: One of the bigest surprises of the second semi-final was their qualification.And it was a surprise not because it wasn't a good song,but because it wasn't one of the favorites to qualify. Personally after watching their performance I though that they have many chances to made it this year,but considering that it was a hard semi-final it wouldn't have be easy.But they've done it so Congratulations Malta!

Belarus: For me even though I would like to see them in the final,I knew that it wasn't possible to happen.Their performance wasn't as strong as it should have been and that's because they didn't use the first version of "We are the hereos".It was dissapointing,but expected :-(

Portugal: I thought that they will make it to the final,since all their previous fado entries have been qualified,but I was wrong.Their staging and vocalls were great,but they stayed out.If they were in the first semi-final,they would have probably be in the final.

Ukraine: The director loose many shots from Gaitana's performance,but withou a doubt it was a very energetic and organized appearance.It was sure that they will qualify and I think they deserved it.

Bulgaria: It was one of my ten personal qualifiers from the second semi-final,but knowing how her performance was going to look like,I didn't have many hopes.They were also after Ukraine who had more full performance,and the comparison was inevitable.I want them in the final,but....

Slovenia: Ok,What happened here? Slovenia out? That was the bigest negative surprise in this year's semi-finals! They were great,both vocally and staging,they final result that came out was amazing and they didn't qualify?? Sometimes I can't understand Eurovision at all.

Croatia: For some reason the result that came out on Tv wasn't good at all.I think it was again director's fault.None of the shots that was important to show up,were seemed. So it didn't surprise me that they stayed out.

Sweden: They definately had the best direction work in the second semi-final,but they were moments that the small stage was showing up and that is supposed not th happen.Vocally she was exellent and for my pleasure she left in her dressing room those black ropes(Yeah!).Totally deserved and expected qualifier.

Georgia: For the first time in their history,Georgia sent a male artist and didn't qualify for the final.They've done their best of improving the song,but the performance was just too much.

Turkey: When we are watching the first semi-final in our home,we have bet that Turkey will get the last golden ticket in the second one and we were right! That think with the golden ticket its just not interesting at all,'cause you know who will be,something that wasn't possible in previous years.Even though that Turkey has a song that I like a lot this year,I wasn't sattisfied with their performance.I hope for an improvement today.

Estonia: Yes!! Since we didn't have the right to vote in the second semi-final,I was so anxious,if Estonia will make it and when they announced as a qualifier,I was jumping and celebrating!! Awesome vocal performance and they totally deserved to qualify.

Slovakia: I though that they will make a surprise and qualify,since metal has many fans in the whole world and all previous entries of this style have been qualified.So,I guess it was in strong semi-final and that why they stayed out.

Norway: One of the certain qualifiers and one of my favourites since their song was selected.Once again the director didn't make the shoots that was supposed to happen,but overall it was a great performance and deserved to qualify.

Bosnia&Herzegovina: It might wasn't one of my personal qualifiers,but that doesn't mean that it wasn't a good song or that it wasn't one of those that I believe they will qualify.It was expected for me.

Lithuania: For second year in a row,my mum predicted again that Lithuania(and Malta also) will qualify and she was right!
So,again mums are always right! Donny gave and excellent and energetic performance and even thought it was a hard semi-final,he made it!And that deserves congartulations.

From my predictions I've hit 8/10 and that's a great result considering who hard was to pick the qualifiers.

From my personal qualifiers,I've got 7/10 and that on ok result.
