I'm cheering because you worked Eurovision into your education!!! Love it. I did the same thing in my first year of uni, just a random essay because the class was about how to write properly.....it made the assignment much more fun than usual!
PS - 100 points is nothing to be sneezed at =D I was kinda devastated with 11th place though, as I really thought I Can was The One. I always go for the UK since my Mum is English, and it's the mother country blah blah blah. but I don't always like your songs best. But Blue was my favourite!! Oh well. I'm praying you send JLS next year so I can go all boy band crazy again..

We do have our own commentary team but to be honest I'd rather listen to Graham Norton...ours are okay, but sometimes it sounds like they're taking the mickey. And our website does give us the chance to "vote" which isn't as good as the real thing but it's something!! I think Jedward won for us this year.
If only the UK had won the real thing maybe the UK would love Eurovision a bit more??? Then again maybe not...there's still got to be a lot of fans over there though =)

Yeah at the moment people are here are bit annoyed that we sent a really credible act with a good song and still only came 11th =S and EVERYONE watches it, but theres very few fans =S I'm doing a dissertation for my a levels atm, and i sent out questionnaires about Eurovision (nearly 200!!) and everyone seems a bit kinda "meh" about it =/ but hopefully that will change!! Why do people in Australia like it so much??? xJasmin B says • 20/Jul 2011 at 06:55
I am actually from Australia but we do have the same Queen so we have that in common! And our undying love for Eurovision, of course. Haha.

Oh right sorry I didn't realise - but that's true! I met someone else who loved Eurovision who I thought was English but turned out to Australian, so it's becoming a common mistake =P Eurovision must be massive down under then, cos I know you've got your own commentary team and everything now - and the Australian eurovision website is waaay better than the BBC's =P
