About me

I was a fan of Eurovision since late 60's when I remember Cliff Richard and Congratulations onwards. Ashamed at UK not taking it seriously recently until this year with ALW writing a stunning ballad. ...

Oh, and I don't know anything, but well, I'd prefer if BBC held it again in Edinburgh, since I'd kill to know that place!!! Still, I think that after such a long time since the contest was held in London, it'd make sense to bring it back there, don't you think?

Well, thanks, I'll certainly take your word on that one lol... I still don't see it as a winner, but know I have an additional reason to cheer for the UK lol. Still, I'm hoping to be impressed by Jade on May. I certainly thought she did much better in the Maltese final, so probably it's just going to keep getting better.
Beating Norway, Spain, Iceland, Montenegro... and well, others, will be hard, although I do agree that the jury vote will certainly be an advantage for Jade.

Oh, don't get me wrong, as I said, I do like the British entry, I just think there's something that doesn't completely do the trick... probably the excessive repetitiveness, or probably something else. The point is that, since the song was in hands of such talented songwriter and musician, I had expected so much more, something incredibly spectacular which could put a fabulous act together for the UK. Even if I don't see this in the bottom of the scoreboard, as in last years, I certainly don't see bringing the whole thing back to London in 2010.
Well, that's all from me for now, keep in touch, big big hug from Mexico

    Reply from David:

Unfortunately sometoimes it needs repetition to win Eurovision and simplicity. I think its brilliance is its simplicity and the arrangement will no doubt impress by the time it takes to the stage in Moscow. I think with return of juries (across all ages, even those who do not pick up and televote) and music business professionals will see it triumph. London? Do you know something we don't...the BBC have habit of holding Eurovsion outside London on most occasions...Birmingham, Edinburgh, Harrogate. :) Anyway, if its held in UK next year it would be nice to welcome you. x
