Eurovision TONIGHT!!!
Posted 25/May at 13:51 By Jenny Hayes
I have been waiting a year since 2009's Eurovision for this night. I've been very excited for this year's competition and when I watched last year's semi-final I hadnt heard of the entries prior to it apart from the UK's entry, but this year I have made an effort to try and listen to some of this year's entries for 2010's Eurovision.
One or two entries have been a bit bland and have tried to be like a mainstream artists in their music video. There is one entry I dont like this year which is France's entry. It just doesn't appeal to me with the music video, it looks like its aiming for a gangsta audience rather than the typical European audiences for the competition. I just dont like the video, so it doesnt improve my opinion on the song at all. So that is one of the entries I think wont get very far.

However out of some of the entries Ive managed to listen to is Albania's entry It's All About You. I really like the introduction of the song and the singer is verry talented. I love the style of the song with its poppy melody, but its definitely Eurovision material. I hope this gets to the TOP 10 at least : ) I wish her all the luck in the world.

Another entry I like is Germany's entry called Satellites. I do like the melody and tune of it and is a big improvements from last years German entry, which I dont want to remind myself about again. However, with this entry there are some parts of it which I dont like. If its a German entry then why is the singer singing as if she's someone who lives in surburban London. I mean I would have like the song better if she'd sung in her German language or sung with a less of an English accent. Also I dont like the lyrics, as a songwriter myself I dont really think this is a well written song. However, I dont know how well this song is going to go.

Im just listening to this as I type this but I love the Georgia entry. The song is beautiful and it is simple, and it hasnt made too much of an effort to make a beautiful song. The video for it is also very simple, so I hope it influences its performance on the stage. The singer also has a beautiful voice so I hope this song will do well like last year's Iceland entry Is It True, because thats what it reminds me off.

Anyway I wont blab on about the other entries because I dont want to ruin the surprise for the rest of the entries. There still a lot of entries so Im just in as much suspense as everyone else. : )
